We give cars away on Military Mondays on 101 The Fox KC, 93.9 The Eagle in Columbia and are seeking other radio partners across the country. I have personally been affiliated with founder Terry Franz for over 10 years now. In 2010 I wrote an application for a local family I knew and out of 17 thousand applications, he responded-their lives changed.
In December of 2017 he found out about my limb loss and lack of transportation, then proceeded to make me a recipient of a vehicle I needed desperately, it changed my life.
In 2018, Terry Franz helped coach me to the hospital to receive help. He made my rehab stay a possibility financially and reminded me to be kind to myself.. "Everyone under some spotlight has a 'Britney Breakdown,' at one point or another." Terry has become a massive inspiration, mentor and chosen family.
In July of 2019 & a year of sobriety later I was given the title of Director of Operations in the Colorado State for their organisation. I'm thrilled at the opportunity to spread hope & carry on the tradition of giving back.
*Dennis Michels a US ARMY Veteran, US Postal Service carrier & sole provider of his two daughters became the first recipient of donated transportation from Cars4Heroes Colorado- on August 18, 2019!
